One of the best ways for the world to build resilience against future pandemics and the impact of climate change is to move to a circular economy. This means designing products and materials from waste and pollution and keeping them in use, and regenerating natural systems so that the resources of the planet aren’t exhausted. A change in the way products are made and used could reduce the level of global greenhouse gas emissions by up to 45%, and make a critical contribution to mitigating the impending climate crisis.
