Achieving the SDGs is going to be largely dependent on technological transformations in the energy sector, covering renewables, grid infrastructures, energy-efficient buildings and sustainable transport.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The success of the energy transition will depend on the interaction between four drivers: the integration of digital innovation into the energy system, the development of prosumer business models, regulatory frameworks that incentivise companies to change and evolve into the zero-carbon era, and changes in human behaviour in favour of renewables.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
