UV light has been shown to reduce the COVID19 virus in the air. This inspired Daan Roosegaarde to create an “artificial sun” for disinfecting open spaces. Using 222 nm wavelength UV light, which is not harmful to human skin, his Urban Sun invention can safely reduce up to 99.9% of virus in treated areas.
